Welcome. Your story touched me, as it sounds just like my own. Although I am younger and may not have smoked as long, I have asthma. I had inhalers, bronchitis more times than I could count. I could hardly breathe.? My grandmother died of emphysema , my dad had lung cancer at 34 and now has had emphysema for the last 10 years. I continued to smoke and then would hit my inhaler..crazy..like this addiction. You are in the right place, this group is great!!!! This group helped me remain smober (smoke-free) since Feb. 20, 2006- 27 MONTHS!!!!! I have tried to quit Many times before and never stayed quit....this group helped me, and still does...welcome! You can do this! Nice to meet you!

My name is Judy and I am an nicotine addict. I am 69 years old and
have been smoking most of my life. This past year I have been on and
inhauler, advair, nebulizer, and continued to smoke. It was getting to
a point where I was getting up in the middle of the night to use the
inhauler. Well, 5 days ago, I smoked 5 in one day. Today and for the
past 4 days I've had only one.....My cravings are incredible but I'm
soooo scared to smoke. I'm going to withdrawal, but want to stop badly
as my next step is to use oxgyen.
Well, I thought I'd just introduce myself. I don't know how the groups
works yet but i thought I 'd start by sending a message.
