Al, without knowing what base to which the reviewer is making reference, I don't think one could make such a generalization.  In other words, I think there is such a range of variance with each smoker with too great a variety of factors which cannot be measured, and therefore can not be related to variance with any blender or manufacturer.

I was reading some reviews on tobaccoreviews.com last night as I
usually do and was noticing comments by several reviewers about the
inconsistency in the tobacco from one tin to another of the same type
and manufacturer.

So my question is, how prevalent is this, or could it have more to do
with how tins may have been previously stored by shipper or tobacco shop.

Which brands and or manufacturers are the most consistent or
inconsistent in their products.
