tobaccos, and find that he is a very nice person. I had met him for the first time in Chicago, and brought a few of my Kaywoodie pipes that he said he may be interested in. He selected two 4 digit pipes, and I'm glad they found a good home. I'll take the last of my collection to the show today, and hope to find new owners for them. They are all the older white cloverleaf logo that is surrounded by a circle.
Several friends from the Chicago area showed up, and pipes started appearing out of cases, which really livened up the conversations, and started the ritual of scramblilng for trades or purchases. The number of serious collecters at the reception portended the tone of the show that starts at 10 this morning. Two pipes donated by Alberto Bonfiglioli for the Silent Auction arrived yesterday, and I heard that the pieces available for the auction already exceeded previous events over the past 7 shows, so it looks like the show already is showing signs of being one of the best we've had. I'll try to have a more detailed report when we get home tomorrow night.
