I did not mention it in my last post, but Perique (a component of Flake
Medallions) is high in nicotine. Besides its peppery aspect
(not 'spicy', that I enjoy, but 'peppery'), I find that I cannot enjoy
blends containing Perique due to their high nicotine content. Tobacco
that is grown in soil that is 'nitrogen rich' generally has a higher
nicotine level. The 'curing' process (how it is dried and processed)
undoubtedly affects the nicotine level, as well....
