I find i enjoy Latakia blends more in the evenings. The smokey taste stays on the palette for long after the smoke and i enjoy it from time to time. If done properly, the balkan may have a rich creamy taste within that smokiness eg Balkan Sobranie.
The best way would be to smoke it ;) I like to dry mine until its almost crispy

I bought a couple of ounces of an oriental/xanthi/ latakia blend a while
back. I enjoy the smell of the unburnt tobacco, but am unsure of the
