Re: [Pipe smokers] A question?

I really really like C&D Briar Fox in the evening. Its my first choice for a full evening smoke. It is seriously good stuff and has a very nice nicotine punch. I must thank our friendly neighbourhood Pipestud for sending me my first tin

I usually start off with Orlik's Golden Sliced, or, recently, with an old-time OTC likePrince Albert, Carter Hall, or Sir Walter Raleigh in the morning.  I like a heavier VA (a Flake) or VA/PER  (e.g., Escudo) in the evening as I cannot get used to Latakia.

I do not often smoke Eng/ Bal but when i do, its in the evenings as well. I usually do it when i crave something very full. The taste stays in my mouth longer than my usual fare of Vas and Va Per blends and it gives that just smoked taste long after. It will keep my satisfied till the next morning.

I also avoid Eng/Bal during the day cause it kills my tastebuds and if i smoke a Va, i cannot pick up the delicious sweetness

AJ, I tend to enjoy the Balkan and English blends more in the evenings because they compliment the more spicy dinner  meals well.  But, I don't restrict them to the evenings, and I don't avoid the other tobacco types I enjoy in the evenings.

I was wondering, why does it seem that the English blends are usually
saved for evening hours? Is it the fact that they are generally
stronger ? I have been basically smoking them at any time of day, but
some have had a very tranquil effect on me.... or am I just not
getting enough sleep, from staying up and reading all of these posts? :-)
As always any help would be appreciated.

"Keep the smoking light lit!"
