Re: [Pipe smokers] A question?

Hi AJ...another slant other than food etc, as I have been told when piping in my go-to-ground village in UK is: the stronger flavored tobaccos, [like the Latty blends, or those with or without the nicotine] tend to hold up and compliment evening libations. Stronger drinks of scotch, wiskey, bourbon, and then the apertifs, cordials and after dinner "traditional" brandies have been enjoyed in the evenings; the flavors seem to blend. Most likely tradition but its a perspective and it does work for me. BUT then a fine strong blend goes down well with my home brewed Starbucks in the early morning as I type this...so go figure. Ahhh traditions...bests to you.

I was wondering, why does it seem that the English blends are usually
saved for evening hours? Is it the fact that they are generally
stronger ? I have been basically smoking them at any time of day, but
some have had a very tranquil effect on me.... or am I just not
getting enough sleep, from staying up and reading all of these posts? :-)
As always any help would be appreciated.

"Keep the smoking light lit!"
