Hay Mo,

I agree with Joe here. (Seems like I'm always agreeing with one Joe or
the other;-)

He's on the button here. I used to smoke the old nails, but I don't
miss them a bit now.

One thing I would say is, and Joe may conk me on the head for this,
when I was trying to lay off the cigs, I found it helped me a lot to
inhale, halfway, the fourth and fifth puffs of a strong tobacco, in a
pipe, twice a day. (Or, whenever I felt I might 'relapse' back to a
cigarette). The first starting puffs are always a bit strong, so, yeah
the fourth and fifth. I plead the fifth.

I smoke some strong stuff usually, right now it's Dark Flake mixed
with Dark Navy flake, and a full on cig inhale is likely to kill. BUT,
a small ways down the throat and out the nose, and the nic fix was
enough. I didn't even think about it now, but I probably still do
that. As Joe said though, don't inhale on the pipe like a C
stick...Not a good idea, as he said.

I mentioned here before that there are a lot of pipe tobaccos that are
WAY stronger (nic wise) than ANY cigarette. But, you're not going to
get the quick fix and, as mentioned, the additives are absent....
Here's the kick though, your life will be better when those junkie
chemicals aren't in your system.

Wake up a little earlier, load a bowl of the strongest, nicest
pipe tobacco you've got, get a cup o joe (or tea) and enjoy a slower
start to the morning....that was, for me, the biggest help.

good luck

-loose

p.s. I do still smoke a clove cigarette about twice a year.
Inhaling hurts. Breathing is nice.
