Re: [Pipe smokers] smoking aged tobacco

Steve, I have a number of tins with 8-12 years age, but I keep letting them age more rather than open them.  I will have a craving for some of the McClelland Deep Hollow, tho, and will dip into my stock of those when I can't stand it any more.  I think they're right at 10 years now.

I have had the privilege lately of smoking aged tobaccos. These have
included some 3 Nuns from the 50's and 60's some old Balkan Sobranie,
Some Dobies 4 Square Green, some aged Prince Albert from the 50's and
some nice John Cotton as well. These aged ones were sweet and mellow.
The smoke was smooth and satisfying. Any of you smoke aged tobaccos?
