Re: [Pipe smokers] smoking aged tobacco

Steve, the only aged tobacco I smoke is when I find one I have forgotten...I live a lot out of the states, and often I come stateside, find a tin that was tucked away somewhere, and exclaim..."GoodNIGHT, where did THIS come from?...then I realize that its one of those old tins Mr.Clemmons gave me one evening, and I am simply pleased. Otherwise, its on them now. Enjoy it though--and I understand its nice & lots of lads do. Its just that I have reached the age I dare not wait too long or a nephew will get it and I was too obtuse to have enjoyed when I could. Bests...

I have had the privilege lately of smoking aged tobaccos. These have
included some 3 Nuns from the 50's and 60's some old Balkan Sobranie,
Some Dobies 4 Square Green, some aged Prince Albert from the 50's and
some nice John Cotton as well. These aged ones were sweet and mellow.
The smoke was smooth and satisfying. Any of you smoke aged tobaccos?
