There is no need to freeze pipe tobacco for long term storage. It will
keep for many, many, many years as is, especially if tinned. Bulk
tobacco, INHO, should be vacuum sealed for long term storage or sealed
in mason jars. Personally, I like to take 4oz batches of bulk, place
it is a small size zip-lock bag and then seal that zip-lock bag in a
vacuum sealed food storage bag. It will last forever that way.

Note: if you decide to try freezing any tobaccos, I am pretty sure
that freezing tins will compromise the vacuum seal of the tin!
