Re: [Pipe smokers] Freezing Tobacco

If you put tobacco in the freezer, it will be destroyed... not recommended.

Go get yourself some ball mason jars, and store your tobacco in them... chances are, the tobacco, when properly stored in tins or a light vacuum environment like mason jars, the tobacco will out live you and everyone you know.

What I do, is wash the mason jar with hot water, and shake off excess water, put into a microwave oven for 30-40 seconds... when the jar comes out it will be hot, put in tobacco (I put baggies of tobacco in the jars now) and pop the lids on. As the jar cools, it will create a light vacuum and seal he tobacco about as good as it's going to get.

Since there is a possibility that prices may skyrocket soon on tobacco
with legislation and taxes; I was wanting to see if putting tobacco in
the freezer and storing it is a viable option.
