Re: [Pipe smokers] Special smokes on vacation...

Jeff..great question. Coventry Scotch for me..a blend made by a fellow at Salts in Coventry, two blocks from the the Cathedral and purchased when thru there on various forays overseas I do. It costs about a 1000$ an oz....carries another 1500 in VAT and then I think there is a surcharge for carrying yourself out the est. with the bell over the door. BUT its one of the best ever, and a five year old stash is a go to smoke for pure celebration, and celebration only. Would not waste it on a depression, which up to now I simply have not had the time for. BTW, when the old fellow dies, it goes with him as he has vowed not to pass it on to the children who run the place...it is as it is. Bests.

Hey folks!

I've had off this week and treated myself to popping a 2002 tin of
McClelland's #25 Virgina. #25 is a staple for me, but last year I
found a place in the city that had 4 tins of 2002 on the shelf and
scarfed them up for special occasions.

Man, I have really been enjoying this stuff over the last few days...
the weather has been very cool for the North East in August, and this
VA has really been treating me well.

So, what have you guys got tucked away for special occasion?

Best-
Jeff
